Founded by Bernardo Neville, Chango have succeeded in producing the most authentic Argentine empanadas in the UK.

Their 3 small shops showcase the hand crimped pastries in enticing rows separated by flavour and their simple menu format makes it delightfully simple to enjoy.

Chango are so passionate about the art of creating these mouth watering filled pastries that it’s the only thing on the menu (with the exception of coffee, wine and one sweet option – the alfajor, which are melt-in-the-mouth shortbread-like biscuits filled with dulce de leech and rolled in desiccated coconut).

There are 8 empanada flavours to choose from, though 3 or 4 would suffice as a main course, making sense of their ‘3 empanadas and a glass of wine’ offering. The traditional beef being a firm favourite of ours.

With three shops in London and many market stall appearances across the city we’d recommend giving them a try one lunchtime.
