We had the recent pleasure of visiting our dear friend Mickael at his London workshop in Hackney where he spends his time crafting wonderful bow ties and accessories for La Bowtique.  

 

Mickael started his business back in 2009 in his hometown of Paris. He says the company was founded through his frustration of struggling to find quality bow ties to go with his ever growing vintage wardrobe. The company has certainly grown from being his own personal bespoke collection as he now ships orders all over the world and has seen his items worn on red carpets by the likes of Marc Jacobs. 

 

To round up our visit the boys spoke watch straps, new packaging and we had a peak up on the mezzanine where Mickael stores lengths of cloth. This lead to a discussion about something new in the works; a limited edition leopard print necktie.
